Light source selection of explosion-proof lamp. Self ballasted high-pressure mercury lamp is a hybrid light source, which emits light by using high-pressure mercury vapor discharge and three kinds of incandescent and fluorescent materials. The utility model has the advantages of high brightness, simple structure and fast starting speed. It changes the disadvantage of the high-pressure mercury lamp which needs to add ballast before. The use of tungsten wire plays a current limiting function, and also improves the color of light. The disadvantage is that the service life is shorter than that of ordinary fluorescent high-pressure mercury lamp. High pressure sodium lamp is a high pressure sodium vapor discharge lamp, which has the advantages of high luminous efficiency, low power consumption, strong atomization ability and long service life.


Single plug, non start fluorescent lamp and self ballasted flow high-pressure mercury lamp are mainly used in the production unit of the author's unit. The original fixed explosion-proof incandescent lamp has been replaced by the original lamp with self ballasted flowing high-pressure mercury bulb under the condition of meeting the minimum distance between the bulb and the specified transparent cover plate. Although the high-pressure sodium lamp has a certain energy-saving effect, due to its poor color rendering, we generally do not use it in production equipment, but only for road lighting. Sometimes, in order to improve the straight white of the high-pressure mercury lamp, some high-pressure sodium lamps can also be included in the production unit. For high intensity lighting places requiring good color rendering (such as on-site inspection of large equipment), explosion-proof floodlights can be used. The light source is generally a metal halide lamp with a rated power of more than 1000W.
